The short version
Gutshot Press is for Australian stories where place matters: tram stops, rental inspections, milk bars, church halls, creek beds, shopping centres after closing. The crimes are fictional. The mood, regrettably, is very real.

Gutshot Press is a Melbourne small press for literary crime, queer noir, Australian gothic and suburbia with a cracked windscreen. We like precision, danger, humour dry enough to start a fire, and sentences that leave fingerprints.

We are open to unpublished Australian writers, especially queer, trans, First Nations, migrant and working-class voices. We want literary crime with place, politics and nerve.
